By Rail: Seaton is just 5 miles from Axminster Station with trains running every hour to London Waterloo. Honiton station is 11 miles away.

By Road: The A303, M5 are all within easy reach.

By Air: Exeter Airport is just 20 miles drive away.

Public transport: There are good bus and rail connections around Seaton.

Buses: The X53 Jurassic Coastal Service connects Weymouth and Axminister. Connect from Axminster or Lyme Regis for Seaton.

Local buses 52A and 52B Services connect to Sidmouth, Honiton and Exeter. Stagecoach 20 runs from Seaton to Taunton. Local route 899 connects to Sidmouth, and 885 to Axminster via Colyton.

Getting Around Seaton

With wide esplanades and part pedestrianized town centre, getting around Seaton’s beach and town centre is generally easy.

Coach Drivers’ Information

We encourage coach operators to visit Seaton. The facilities for visiting coaches are excellent with good sized coach parking facilities within a few minutes level walk to the sea front. The coach park is immediately opposite our Tourist Information Centre and Seaton Tramway attraction, which is ideal for day trippers.

Accessible Seaton

Seaton’s Esplanade has a lovely flat promenade which stretches all the way from the Harbour to the Chine on West walk. Its smooth surface and easy access allow everyone to take in the beautiful scenery of our unique coastline and pebble beach.

Disabled Parking

Throughout East Devon, you will find disabled bays for parking. Disabled drivers pay the same rate as other car park users.

Accessible Trains

SouthWest TrainsAssisted Travel Team give assistance in planning your journey. Their customer service staff is trained in disability awareness and work to make sure travelling by train is as accessible as possible.

Using wheelchairs and powered wheelchairs on buses

Devon has an increasing number of easy access low-floor buses that can accommodate wheelchairs. These buses have ramps and on-board wheelchair parking.  Stagecoach Southwest’s helpdesk service t: 01392 42 77 11 gives details of bus services that operates easy access vehicles.
